Material handling equipment is more than just a requirement for warehouses and factories. Proper utilisation of such warehouse equipment can enable you to make your factory or warehouse and lot more efficient. On a lot of occasions, a warehouse equipped with material handling equipment is able to handle a lot more work with relative ease.
Material handling equipment can be a boon for heavy industries. By utilising material handling equipment, you will be able to cut down your dependence on manual labour to a very large extent. It will also help you in making a lot of material handling processes, automatic and streamlined. Moreover, by using material handling equipment, you will also be able to cut down on the risks involved in making a manual taskforce carry out the handling jobs in your warehouse or heavy industry. While people are manually transporting heavy articles around the factory, there is always a chance of some mishap which can cause serious injuries to a worker. Material handling equipment will completely eliminate the need for any labour for the transfer of articles within your industry.
Material handling equipment products would include Conveyor systems for easy transportation of articles, Roller conveyor and Pallet racks, which will enable you to store various objects safely. Moreover, you can also utilise Storage racking and warehouse shelving to take care of additional storage requirement of your warehouse or heavy industry. If lifting heavy objects is a part of daily work in your warehouse, then you can benefit from the purchase of a fork lift for your warehouse.

Dome-loaded 797 LE-HD gas-controlled pressure regulators from Witt can provide an economic and safe solution to ensure gas cutting systems receive a constant gas supply, according to the manufacturer.
The company said this method of gas regulation is more economical than using a full electronic control process.
In one application the three inlet lines for oxygen and propane are supplied by Witt pressure regulators to optimise the automatic gas supply.
The gas control was regulated using proportional valves with changes in the gas pressure being adjusted by pressure changes, thereby controlling the cutting process.
Witt pressure regulators can be used for numerous applications with a range of flow rates and gases.
they are used as a primary pressure regulator, which can be installed in any orientation, in gas supply pipeline systems to ensure a consistent stable pressure up to a flow of 2300m3/h and are independent of any inlet pressure fluctuations in the gas supplies, including gas withdrawals.
they are also suitable for use in shipyards, chemical processing plants, offshore and diving vessels, glass making as well as steel making and foundry applications.
Other features include integrated pilot pressure and pressure gauge connections as well as being able to centrally regulate several gas supplies to the same working pressure, while the compact design enables them be installed in confined spaces.
The maximum pre-pressure for the 737LE-HD is 240 bar with a regulating range from 2-45 bar.
Witt will show a wide range of products at the PPMA Show 2009, taking place at the Birmingham NEC from 29 September-1 October.
Products will include Oxybaby 6.0, a cordless handheld O2 or O2/CO2 gas analyser for use with modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) and MAPY 4.0.
MAPY 4.0 is an ergonomically designed, mains-operated, multifunctional, O2/CO2 protective atmospheres analyser with an optional integrated printer.
Oxybaby 6.0 measures either the O2 or O2/CO2 content in the smallest food packages, such as salami and cheese slices, as well as other food packaging including poultry and salads.
It features a high-resolution display, an integrated barcode reader (optional), Bluetooth connection (optional) and a USB port for data transfer and charging the battery.
Other features include user-friendly menu navigation, extended data storage for up to 500 different measurements, as well being able to assign up to 25 users, 100 products and 50 packaging lines to the stored measurements.
These gas mixers are also obtainable as 3-in-1 versions, producing a fully automated process that proportionally controls the gas flow on packaging lines, to maintain a residual oxygen value that can reduce gas consumption by up to 30 per-cent.
Witt will also exhibit a KM100-2/3M gas mixer integrated with a MAPY 4.0 multifunction O2/CO2 protective atmospheres analyser, to generate a gas mixing and analysing process within four single cabinet as a 2-in-1 version.
Witt’s range of gas mixing and analysis equipment for use on modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) lines will be shown, including Leak-Master Mapmax, a fully automatic, inline, non-destructive detection process to detect leaks for food and pharmaceutical packers supplying rigid and flexible modified atmosphere packaging (MAP), using vacuum, thermoform, chamber or horizontal/vertical form, fill-and-seal packaging machines.
The latest process has two additional chamber sizes to the existing four, including four for the testing of complete crates/trays.
