In order to drive or operate certain machinery, the hydrostatic drive system is used. This system makes use of a hydraulic fluid under pressure, making it easier to operate such mechanisms. Vane pumps would be another type of hydraulic pumps where it has a higher efficiency rate as compared to gear pumps. In general, vane pumps can be used for mid pressures for up to 180 bars. There is also the axial piston pump, which has the best efficiency level among all the other pumps. These pumps can work with a pressure of up to 350 bars. Radial piston pumps, on the other hand, are used specifically for high pressure and relatively small flows.

Hydraulic Seals: Its Orientations and Types

Hydraulic seals are products that include types such as rod seals, flange packing and U-cups. They are specifically designed for applications that require high pressure such as those of hydraulic cylinders. It is said to have a wide array of orientations and different types.

Various sealing orientations

There are various sealing directions for these industrial products. The first on the list is called a rod seal. A rod seal is a type of radial seal that is fit specifically into the housing bore. The sealing lip is found in contact with the shaft.

The second type is known as the Piston seal. This is yet another type of radial seal and is a variation of the rod seal. Instead of the sealing lip found in contact with the shaft, the lip goes in contact with the housing bore. It is in the shaft where the seal is pressed accordingly.
